The Turnover Shop
Nominated for:
Established in 1943, The Turnover Shop is Baltimore's oldest consignment shop. Specializing in antiques, the shop originally opened in the front room of the present Roland Avenue location. The business was structured then, as now, on a consignment-only basis. In the years since its purchase by current owner Alice Ann Finnerty in 1978, The Turnover Shop has expanded in scope as well as space. Not only does it occupy the building on Roland Avenue, but also a second location on Chestnut Avenue in the heart of Hampden.
The Turnover Shop is a family-owned business, managed by daughter Alice Ann Martin since 1984. The success of the Shop can be attributed to the longevity of our fine staff, including Mary Agnes Gahan, Evelyn Strider, Carroll Waskins, Mary Lee Wist and Mary Zorzi. They each possess the desire and ability to assist you in meeting your individual needs.
